Digital Humanities

Digital humanities connect between conventional research methodologies and opportunities given by technologies and methodologies providing scholars with new ways of seeing questions and tools for solving problems. Scholars have labored for years to develop digital archives. Now the time has come to create new methodologies to explore database collections for reconfiguring interpretations of the data.

數位人文結合傳統研究方法與科技與研究方法的優勢，提供學者更多元方式來探索並解決問題。過去許多年來，學者們不斷嘗試發展相關的數位檔案。而現在，創造嶄新研究方法的時代來臨，運用新方法探索資料庫，以達到重新定位與詮釋資料的目標。

Emerging are fresh views of the past based on revelations of unperceived patterns and arrays of attributes. Digital humanities have matured crossing boundaries of geography and history to include a wider range of disciplines such as indigenous innovation arts, anthropology, and industrial research.

此計畫同時也依據尚未被發現的圖譜資料與大量人文資料的性質特徵，以嶄新的視點來檢視過去的研究。數位人文研究已有成熟的跨領域地理與歷史方面等研究，以囊括更廣泛的領域，例如在地創新藝術的研究、人類學與產業研究等。

Digital humanities projects use tools for developing gazetteers, 3D mapping, literary analysis, digitization and indexing, and new visualization techniques in interdisciplinary research that aims to enhance social science and humanities research. Creators and users interact with experimentation and source materials in ways that yield unpredicted findings.

數位人文計畫使用工具來發展地名索引、3D地圖繪製、文獻分析、數位化與索引標示，以及多元領域研究中的嶄新顯示技術，企圖增強社會科學與人文方面的研究。如此一來，創建者與使用者都能透過實驗方法與史料素材來探索新發現。
